As we prepare to say farewell to 2023 and usher in 2024, we are delighted to present Quatuor Forlane as our Musicians of the Month(s).
The Quatuor Forlane brings together Yoko Levy-Kobayashi, violon-Ieva Sruogyte, alto, Raphaël Unger, violoncelle, Delphine Armand, piano and Justina Zajanciauskaite violon. Together, the ensemble engages
the public through sharing and discovery. Graduates of the CNSM de Paris, these musicians play in prestigious orchestras (ONDIF) or teach in high schools (CNSM de Lyon, CRR de Saint-Maur, CRD d'Aulnay-sous-Bois) and come together to play the repertoire of a movement that grew in the 19th century, Besides the great masterpieces, Yoko Lévy-Kobayashi and Justina Zajancauskaite on violin, Ieva Sruogyte on violin, Raphaël Unger on cello and Delphine Armand on piano present forgotten composers. Each concert is therefore both an act of transmission and an invitation to travel. In November 2023, the Quatuor Forlane performed at the Philharmonic in a quintet with violinist Justina Zajanciauskaite in a Slavic program (Silvestrov and Dvorak quintets).
