Alice Bälan is a young Romanian pianist who is now a student at the prestigious ”Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome in the class of Maestro Marialaura Proietti Salvatori.

She has won over 40 international awards in Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Latvia, Romania, including: the Grand Prize with the honorable mention ”In recognition of a remarkable virtuoso interpretation” at the Polish Festival (Gyor, Hungary), First Prize at the international competition “Riga Young Pianists Competition” (Riga, Latvia), First Prize at the international competition “Music in the World” (Rome, Italy), and many others.
Alice Bălan made her debut at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest during the “Magic Summer” festival in 2021. She regularly performs recitals at the Hanover Conservatory and at the “Klaipeda Piano Masters” Academy in Lithuania. She has given recitals at the “George Enescu” Festival, ”Festival Musicale delle Nazioni” Teatro di Marcello, “Rovere d’Oro” Festival, International Musicology Congress Romania, and by invitation of institutions such as the General Consulate of Romania in Hungary, the Romanian Consulate in Munich, the Romanian Academy – Timișoara Branch, Vrset Cultural Center, “Arcuș” Cultural Center, Banatul Philharmonic, and the Democratic Forum of Germans.
Alice Balan made her debut with the orchestra in 2016, at just 12 years old, , and later distinguished herself with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Oradewa in 2022. Her repertoire has grown over the years and now consists of concertos by J.S. Bach, J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven and R. Schumann, which she has performed on the stage of several philharmonics.
